Maria is a consultant with E4E Relief which partners with compassionate companies to provide a global, charitable solution to support employees through unforeseen hardship or crisis. She has extensive non-profit fundraising experience and has consulted for several educational institutions, along with holding key senior fundraising roles at �������� and Notre Dame Preparatory School. A history major with a concentration in gender studies, Maria was active in Warner Hall eating house and was a member of the wind ensemble and symphony orchestra. She studied in Cambridge, was a campus tour guide coordinator and Senior Admissions Fellow. Currently, Maria is President-Elect of the �������� Alumni Association. She served on her 5th and 15th reunion committees, as a Fund for �������� Class Chair, and WDAV volunteer. Maria and her husband, Steve Aldrich ’02, established the Will DuBose Baseball Scholarship with several other baseball alumni. The Aldriches live in Scottsdale, Arizona with their two children. As a trustee, Maria is a member of the College and Community Relations Committee and Campus Life and the Student Experience Committee.

Andy Berndt
Andy is Vice President, Strategic Advisor at Google. He founded the Google Creative Lab, a creative and prototyping lab, in 2007, which he led for 14 years. Google’s Creative Lab has been involved with almost all of Google’s major product lines and innovation efforts. Prior to joining Google in 2008, Andy was the Co-President of Ogilvy & Mather, New York, one of the most well-known advertising companies in the world. Before Ogilvy, Andy was recruited by Steve Jobs to join Chiat/Day to help re-launch the Apple brand, which included launching the iMac, and introducing the Apple Online Store. Previous to working with Apple, he ran Nike's US business at Wieden & Kennedy in Portland, Oregon. Andy graduated from Duke University, where he was a member of the basketball team, as a walk-on. Andy and his wife, Elliot Smyth Berndt, are the parents of two daughters, including Alice ‘22. Elliot is the daughter of the late Ross Smyth ‘58, who served on ��������’s Board of Trustees. Andy and Elliot chaired the Parents Council in 2021-2022 and established the Ross J. Smyth Scholarship in support of The �������� Trust.

Dan Boone '66
Dan capped a 41-year investment career as Managing Partner of Atlanta Capital Management Co., an institutional money management firm. While there, he managed the Calvert Social Investment equity mutual fund, the first socially responsible investment fund in the US. Prior to retiring in 2011, Dan led an effort to sell Atlanta Capital to Eaton Vance Co of Boston. While a student at ��������, Dan majored in economics and was named a Distinguished Military Graduate with membership in Scabbard and Blade. He was an officer of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, a staff member of the Wildcat Handbook and Quips and Cranks yearbook. After graduation, Dan served in the U.S. Army and later received an MBA with distinction from the Wharton School. Over the years, Dan has continued his strong association with �������� including the following: Life Member of the Board of Visitors, advisory member of the Trustee Investment Committee, Co-chair of the 50th and 55th reunion committee, annual fund class agent, member of Georgia Regional Committee for Campaign for ��������, and co-founder of the H Boyce Connell Merit Scholarship. He was awarded the Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 2016. In 2020, Dan established the Boone Pre-tenured Professorship to focus on capitalism and income inequality. Dan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has served on the boards of a number of non-profit agencies including The Merrie Boone Comprehensive Care Clinic for Parkinson’s at Emory University, The High Museum (lifetime), Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta, Investment Advisory Association (chair), Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts (President), Low Country Institute, Executive Council to Emory Brain Center, and Coastal Conservation League of South Carolina. Dan’s daughter, Meredith Boone Tutterow and her husband, Sam, are �������� graduates (1993) and his granddaughter, Abby, is a member of ��������’s Class of 2024. Dan and his wife, Marty, are enjoying life on Spring Island, South Carolina.

Erwin Carter '79
Erwin is CEO of Newbold Services, LLC, a facility support services company in Greenville, SC. Since 2012, he has also been CEO of Peak Workforce Solutions, a Certified Minority Business Enterprise staffing firm. Before founding Newbold Services in 2006, he held leadership positions in the banking and financial services industry. At ��������, he majored in economics and was a member of the Black Student Coalition and Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He has served alma mater as a member of the Board of Trustees (2003-2010) and Board of Visitors, an Annual Fund class agent, �������� Black Alumni Network member, and member of the planning committees for his 10th, 30th and 35th reunions. He was presented the Alumni Service Award in 2010. He and his wife, Veronica, live in Greenville, South Carolina, and have two daughters, including Amoura ’07. Erwin and Veronica established the Carter Family Scholarship. Erwin is a member of the Campus Strategy, Planning and Use Committee and the Student Recruiting, Enrollment, and Scholarships Committee.

Lisa Green Case '99
Lisa is an active volunteer serving on the board or board committees of several nonprofits and in a variety of fundraising and other capacities at her children’s school. She also chaired the board of her children’s former school. Prior to becoming a parent, Lisa worked as an attorney with international law firms Covington & Burling and Ropes & Gray and as an analyst with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company, a prominent investment banking firm founded by former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles. A Samuel Henry Bell Scholar at ��������, Lisa majored in mathematics, studied in Scotland, and was a member of Rusk eating house and the cheerleading, track and cross-country teams. She earned her law degree at Harvard Law School. She is married to Jeff Case ’99. The Cases live in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with their three daughters. Lisa and Jeff served as National Ne Ultra chairs for fiscal years 2017 and 2018. They previously served as co-presidents of the Boston alumni chapter, co-chairs of the FY10 Annual Fund Leadership Council, and members of their 15th reunion committee.  Lisa also served as a member of her 20th reunion committee.  Lisa and Jeff established the need-based Case Scholarship and provided funds (with Jordan Case ’03) to name the Verna Miller Case Research and Creative Works Symposium after Jeff’s mother, Verna Case, who was associate dean of Teaching, Learning and Research and the B.F. Dolan Professor of Biology at �������� College.  Other �������� relationships include Jeff’s father, Marshall Case ’72, and brother, Jordan Case ’03.

Jessica Davis '09
Jessica manages connectivity and growth partnerships in EMEA for Facebook. In this capacity, she supports programs and partnerships to increase internet access, affordability, and awareness in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Facebook in December 2018, she worked in Nairobi, Kenya, for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) as a Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager. At AGRA, she managed a portfolio of strategic partnerships across 11 countries to catalyze private sector investment, design and operationalize strategic interventions, and scale outcomes in agricultural transformation targeting 30 million small holder farmers across Africa. She was an Engagement Manager with Deloitte Consulting from 2012-2017, an Africa Business Fellow in 2016 in Kenya, a Rotary International Ambassadorial Fellow in 2011 in South Africa, and a research assistant with the United States Institute of Peace from 2009-2011. Jessica majored in political science at ��������. While a student, she was active in the Black Student Coalition, Turner Eating House, Dance Ensemble, Activities Tax Council, and Student Conduct Council. She was a William Holt Terry Scholar. Jessica holds a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) in Justice and Transformation, Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Public Policy Degree with a concentration in International Development from American University. She serves on the board of Freely in Hope, a human rights organization dedicated to ending sexual violence and equipping survivors to be leaders. Jessica has volunteered for �������� as a member of the �������� Black Alumni Network, Annual Fund class chair, and Terry Program Alumni Board. She and her husband live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Bob Dunham '70
Bob served as a Presbyterian pastor for churches in Auburn, Alabama, Covington, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina, before being called in 1991 to the University Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he served as senior pastor for 26 years. After his retirement in 2017, he also served for two years as interim senior pastor of the Fist Presbyterian Church in the City of New York. He is a frequent guest preacher and lecturer. An English major at ��������, he was editor of the ��������ian, a Freshman Advisor, and member of Interfraternity Council and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and active in the College Union. He graduated with membership in Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) and Who’s Who Among Students at American Universities and Colleges. He later earned a Master of Sacred Theology degree from Yale University Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (now Union Presbyterian Seminary). Bob has previously served �������� as a member of the Board of Trustees (2007-2010), Annual Fund Class Agent, Alumni Association Board member, Durham/Chapel Hill regional campaign committee member during The Campaign for ��������, and member of his 20th-35th reunion committees. He served as chair of the 2021 Reformed Tradition Working Group. He has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Union Presbyterian Seminary, the Board of Visitors of Presbyterian College, and the Board of Directors of the Presbyterian Outlook Foundation, as well as the Boards of Directors of the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service and the Martin Luther King Jr. University/Community Foundation in Chapel Hill. Bob and his wife, Marla, a retired English professor, live in Chapel Hill. They have two adult children and two grandchildren. Their son, Aaron Dunham, is a member of the �������� Class of 2000.

Doug Ey ‘76
Doug recently retired as an attorney and partner with McGuireWoods LLP in Charlotte. He is also the chair of the Crosland Foundation board, and a member of the board of the William F. and Betty G. Mulliss Foundation.  Doug graduated from �������� with Honors in History and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He was a hall counselor and member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and wrote for the ��������ian. He holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Doug has served �������� as president of the Charlotte alumni chapter, gift chair of his 40th reunion committee, member of the Board of Visitors, decade representative and vice president of the Alumni Association Board, Annual Fund national chair, Fideles chair, Annual Fund class chair, and multiple reunion committees. In 1996, he received the Alumni Service award. Doug and his wife Tere live in Charlotte.

Tom Finke
Tom is the Chairman of Adara Acquisitions, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) based in Charlotte. He is also a Director of Invesco Ltd., a global investment firm with over $1.4 trillion in assets under management. Tom is the former Chairman and CEO (2008-2020) of Barings, a global investment management firm with over $350 billion in assets under management. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and Duke University (MBA). Tom was instrumental in helping to forge a three-year, $1.2 million partnership between �������� and Barings to provide students with research, training, mentorship, and �������� service opportunities. He and his wife, Heather, have generously supported the Women’s Soccer Pooled Scholarship, the Class of 2017 Women’s Soccer Scholarship, and the Vance Center Williams Room. He served on the Game Changers campaign committee, and he and his wife were on the Parents Council while daughter, Ashley ’17, was a student. Heather and Tom live in Charlotte.

Anthony Foxx '93
Anthony Foxx served as the Chief Policy Officer and Senior Advisor to the President and Chief Executive Officer at Lyft, Inc. from October 2018 to January 2022. In his role, Anthony worked alongside Lyft's co-founders and executive team—at the intersection of transportation policy, technology, and public-private partnerships—to expand affordable mobility options and improve people's lives with the world's best transportation.

From 2013-2017, Anthony served as the 17th United States Secretary of Transportation, leading an agency with more than 55,000 employees and a $70 billion budget, whose primary goal was to ensure that America maintains the safest, most efficient transportation system in the world. Among many accomplishments during his tenure, the DOT established a first-ever policy framework for the safe integration of self-driving vehicles and leveraged $350 million in public and private funding to demonstrate how smart technology can change cities and local communities.

Anthony was also the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina from 2009-2013. During this time, he made transportation investments the centerpiece of Charlotte's job creation and economic recovery efforts. These investments included extending the LYNX light rail system, the largest capital project ever undertaken by the city. He also expanded Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (the sixth busiest in the world), worked with North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue to accelerate the I-485 outer belt loop, and started the Charlotte Streetcar project.

At ��������, Anthony majored in history and was a �������� Scholar, hall counselor and ��������’s first black student body president. He was also a member of the Honor Council, Student Conduct Council, Project Life, and the Union Board. Anthony earned his JD at New York University. He served as an at-large member of the Board of Trustees from 2009 until his July 2013 resignation as a result of his new role as US Secretary of Transportation. While a trustee he was a member of the Campus & Facilities Planning committee.  He has also served �������� as a member or chair of his 5th, 10th and 20th reunion committees, a member of the Board of Visitors, president of the Washington DC Young Alumni Association, vice president and member of the Alumni Association Board, and member of the Vann Center for Ethics Advisory Board. Anthony and his wife Samara currently live in Bethesda, Maryland.

Yvette Pita Frampton '95 
Yvette is a documentary filmmaker living in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Chris Frampton ’94. An English major at ��������, she was a member of Warner Hall eating house, the Spanish Club, founding President of the Waterski Club, and an editorial and writing staff member of the ��������ian. She studied abroad in Australia. Yvette received her MFA in film directing from New York University. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz Campus, on the Board of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, and as a Trustee at Graland Country Day School. Previously, she served as vice chair of the Denver Health Foundation and as a member of the board of the Denver Health Foundation Level One Society. She has served �������� as a member of her 5th, 10th, and 20th reunion planning committees, alumni class notes secretary, Fund for �������� class chair, and vice-president of the Alumni Association Board. She chairs the Campus Life and Student Experience Committee and is a member of the Campus, Strategy, Planning and Use Committee, Governance and Nominating Committee and the Executive Committee.

Reid French '93
Reid is an independent director in the software sector, sitting on the boards of Autodesk, Anthology, and NetDocuments.  He is also an emeritus trustee of The Lovett School in Atlanta, previously serving as chairman. He was the CEO of Applied Systems, a leading provider of cloud-based software for the insurance industry, from 2011 until 2019. Prior to joining Applied Systems, he was chief operating officer at Intergraph Corporation, a global software company focused on the geospatial and computer-aided design markets. Reid was a Charles A. Dana Scholar, economics major, member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and involved in theatrical productions. He graduated with First Honors. Reid earned a Watson Fellowship studying the financing of theater in Europe and earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School. �������� relationships include his now-deceased wife, Sarah Patterson French ’95, his sister, Tracy French McMillan ’96, and his daughter, Virginia French ‘24. Reid was a member of the Board of Visitors and has served as an Annual Fund class chair. He lives in Atlanta with their children.  Reid is a member of the Governance and Nominating, Audit and Finance, and Campus Life and the Student Experience Committees.

Dylan Glenn ‘91
Dylan is Senior Director of Eldridge Industries following previous positions as CEO of KBBO Americas, senior managing partner at Guggenheim Partners, deputy chief of staff with Governor Sonny Perdue (GA), and special assistant to the president, National Economics Council, The White House. A political science major at ��������, he was a member of the Student Government Association, Kappa Alpha fraternity, and captain of the wrestling team. He has served �������� as a member of the Board of Trustees (2018-2021), president of the Alumni Association Board, member of the Board of Visitors, Fund for �������� class chair, member of the �������� Black Alumni Network, and member of his 20th and 25th reunion committees. He established the Glenn Family Scholarship in support of The �������� Trust. He and his wife MeMe and their 3 children live in Washington, DC.

David Hall '84
David E. Hall is president of Hallmark and with his brother leads all aspects of Hallmark's business. He joined the company in 1981, holding positions in sales, finance, legal, order distribution and retailer relations. He led U.S. marketing and sales at subsidiary Crayola, and served as senior vice president of human resources for Hallmark and as president of Hallmark North America. Dave earned a bachelor's degree in economics from �������� and a law degree in 1989 from the University of Kansas. While at ��������, Dave was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and the Chorus. He has served �������� as a Fund for �������� class agent, a �������� Alumni Admission Program representative, and a member of the Board of Visitors. Dave and his wife, Laura, live in Mission Hills, Kansas. They recently established the Educational Access Scholarship of the �������� Trust.  David chairs the Student Recruiting, Enrollment, and Scholarships Committee and is a member of the Teaching, Learning, and Research Committee. 

Tiara Able Henderson ’97
Tiara is a director with Wells Fargo Real Estate Capital Markets. She is also an entrepreneur who invented the Cubbie Cup for children. A psychology major at ��������, Tiara was a member of the Black Student Coalition and the cheerleading team. She holds an MBA from Queens University Charlotte. Tiara has served �������� as 2nd reunion chair, 10th reunion chair, 20th reunion committee member, and member of the �������� Black Alumni Network (DBAN)), Alumni of Color Engagement (ACE), the Board of Visitors, and the Alumni Association Board. She is also a founding member of Msaada Mentorship program, which matches female students of color with Black alumnae based on the students’ field of interest, professional aspirations, and career goals. Tiara and her husband, Boris Henderson ‘01, live in Huntersville, NC, with their children. Tiara was instrumental in the development of the Alumni of Color Engagement (ACE) efforts and worked tirelessly to find ways to connect alumni of color with �������� in ways that are meaningful and authentic.

Dr. Robert W. Henderson
Dr. Robert W. Henderson ("Bob") is senior minister and head of staff of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Furman University (BA, economics and religion, 1984), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div, 1989), and Columbia Theological Seminary (D.Min., 1996). Bob served as associate pastor of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, GA, from 1988-1993 and senior pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC, from 1993-2008. He joined Covenant Presbyterian in 2008. At Covenant, Bob endeavors to create and lead dynamic worship that is faithful to Reformed Theology. In 2017, Charlotte Magazine selected Bob as "Charlottean of the Year" for his leadership constructing affordable housing in Charlotte. Bob is married to Dr. Suzanne W. Henderson, Associate Professor of Religion at Queens University of Charlotte (Ph.D. Duke University; M. Div. Princeton Theological Seminary). Suzanne has published widely in the field of New Testament studies. Her books include New Testament Conversations: A Pluralistic Introduction (Cobris); and Christology and Discipleship in the Gospel of Mark (Cambridge University Press). Bob and Suzanne live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have two daughters, Hannah and Abbie, and a son, Will.  Bob is a member of the Campus Life and the Student Experience and the Campus Strategy, Planning, and Use Committee.  

Douglas A. Hicks '90
Doug Hicks, a member of ��������’s class of 1990, returned to his alma mater in 2022 as president. He joined �������� from his role as Dean of Oxford College at Emory University, where he developed new programs to enhance the curriculum and build intellectual and social ��������. Hicks received an AB degree magna cum laude with honors in economics from ��������, a Master of Divinity summa cum laude from Duke University, and MA and PhD degrees in religion from Harvard University, where he studied with distinguished theologian Ronald Thiemann and Nobel Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen. He has written or edited nine books along with fifty articles for scholarly and public audiences. Hicks previously served as a member of the board of trustees of Agnes Scott College and, earlier, a trustee at Duke University. From his own undergraduate days and throughout a career in higher education, Doug Hicks has embraced a vision of the liberal arts that shapes lives and prepares leaders to serve society.

Mary Tabb Mack ‘84
Mary retired as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo’s Consumer and Small Business Banking in May 2023. She was named by Fortune magazine as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” multiple times, has been on American Banker’s list of “Most Powerful Women in Banking", and has received additional accolades, including  the United Negro College Fund’s Lifetime Achievement award in 2022. She has served as a member of United Way Worldwide’s Board of Trustees, and on the boards of Johnson C. Smith University, Junior Achievement, Childcare Resources, the Arts & Science Council, Civic Progress St. Louis, and the United Ways of both Greater St. Louis and the Central Carolinas. She currently serves as a board member of Habitat for Humanity International and is a member of the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council.  An economics and political science double major, she was a member of the women’s chorus and a founding member of Warner Hall eating house. She was a Stuart Scholar and graduated with membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa, and Who’s Who Among American College Students. She has served �������� as a member of the Board of Trustees (2012-2019), vice-president of the Alumni Association Board, Annual Fund class agent, chair of her 10th reunion committee and member of her 5th, 25th and 35th reunion committees, William Holt Terry Board of Advisors member, Economic Comparative Advantage mentor, Alumni of Color Engagement member, and regional committee member during The Campaign for ��������. She and her husband, Barry Mack ‘82, established the Mack Family Scholarship in support of The �������� Trust. In addition to her husband, other �������� relationships include her brother, Warner Lewis Tabb, Jr. ‘71, father-in-law, B. Bayles Mack '56, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mack Reigel ‘84, and nephew, William Reigel ‘12.

Prem is a Principal of Tantallon Capital Advisors and the Chief Investment Officer for the Tantallon India Fund and the Tantallon Asia Impact Fund. He retired from The Capital Group after 22 years. The recipient of the C. Shaw Smith Award, Prem was active in the Union Board, and served as senior class president. He majored in political science. Prem has served �������� as a member of the Board of Trustees from 2009-2016, an Annual Fund class agent, a member of his 20th and 25th reunion committees, the �������� Trust Steering Committee, the Board of Visitors, and the Alumni Association Board. His wife, Susan Baik, is a member of the Art Collection Advisory Board at ��������. Prem and Susan established the Manjooran Family Scholarship in support of The �������� Trust and the Baik Art Residency and Exhibition Fund. Prem and Susan live in Camas, Washington, with their son.

Alison Hall Mauzé '84
Alison is a former Vice President at JP Morgan in Corporate Finance and Corporate Finance Recruiting and Training where she worked for nearly ten years. She now serves as a �������� volunteer and advisor to nonprofit organizations. As a trustee of the San Francisco Ballet, she has chaired both the Governance Committee and Development Committee and has been a member of the Audit, Finance, Executive, Campaign, Education and Nominating Committees. She is a trustee of the Exploratorium in San Francisco and serves on the Governance and Development Committees. She is the co-chair of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank Campaign. At ��������, Alison majored in psychology and was a member of the Union Board, Rusk eating house, Women’s Concerns Group, Amnesty International and the field hockey team. She also volunteered weekly at the Florence Crittenden center in Charlotte. Both she and her husband, Michael Mauzé ’85, have served as Annual Fund class chairs and members of the �������� Alumni Admission Program and the New York regional campaign committee during The Campaign for ��������. Alison was the National Annual Fund vice chair in FY08 and chair in FY09. In 2009, Alison received the Alumni Service Award. She has been a member of the Board of Visitors, a past vice president of the Alumni Association Board, and was an At-Large Trustee from 2010 until 2016. During her first two terms on the board, she was chair of the College Relations Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee, served on the Campus Life & the Student Experience Committee, and was a member of the Executive Committee. Alison currently serves the Board as Chair. She served as co-chair of the Game Changers Campaign (2013-2019). The Mauzés provided the naming gift for the Michael and Alison Hall Mauzé Terrace in the E. Craig Wall Academic Center and created the Mauzé Family Scholars Program. They live in San Francisco, California. Two of their sons, Christopher ’14 and Jackson ’16, attended ��������.

N. Elizabeth McCaw ‘92
N. Elizabeth (“Beth”) McCaw is a former estate planning attorney who practiced law in Atlanta and Seattle before transitioning to work full-time in philanthropy.  Most recently, Beth served as President & CEO of Washington Women’s Foundation, the oldest women’s collective grantmaking organization in the country. She has served as an adjunct law professor at Seattle University School of Law, has taught extensively in the area of nonprofit Board governance, and  has chaired numerous nonprofit Boards, including the Board of Directors of YWCA USA.  Beth currently serves on the Cabinet for the Dean of the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and as an independent director on the governing Board of The Seattle Times, the oldest family-owned daily metropolitan newspaper in the United States. A history major, Beth was a member of Rusk eating house and Reach out/Y Student Service Corps and served as a residence advisor. She earned her JD from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Masters in Not-for-Profit Leadership from Seattle University. Beth has volunteered for �������� as a member of the Board of Visitors and recently, as co-chair of the task force that developed the Women ACT initiative in honor of 50 years of co-education at ��������. She and her husband established the Endowment for Student Well-Being at �������� and have supported the McCaw Family Scholarship, the E. Craig Wall Academic Center, the Counseling Center in the Center for Student Health and Well-Being, and the Wildcat Women Fund. �������� relatives include Beth’s father, David E. McCaw ’57 (deceased), and sister-in-law, Dr. Julie Abrams-Bernier ‘84. Beth and her husband, Yahn Bernier, and their daughter, live in Medina, Washington.

Kristi Mitchem '92
Kristi is chief executive officer and head of BMO Global Asset Management, BMO’s asset management division, which has more than $300 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining BMO in 2019, she served as the CEO of Wells Fargo Asset Management. She has more than 20 years of experience in roles related to asset management, defined contribution pension plans and equities markets at State Street Corporation, BlackRock, and Goldman Sachs. A vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion, she led the development of a gender diversity index exchange-traded fund designed to invest in US companies committed to advancing the positions women hold in management and on boards. She was named one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business by the San Francisco Business Times in 2018, as one of the Top Women in Asset Management by Money Management Executive in 2017, and as one of Treasury & Risk’s Top 100 Influential People in 2008. She is also listed in several patent filings focused around guaranteed income requirements. Kristi majored in political science at ��������, where she graduated summa cum laude and with First Honors. While at ��������, she was a member of Warner Hall eating house, Reach Out/Y Student Service Corps, and the Union Board. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar. She was also a Fulbright Scholar. Her father, Spencer Mitchem ’59, and siblings, Kathryn Mitchem Furman ’91 and Bill Mitchem ’96, also graduated from ��������. Kristi has served �������� as a member of her 20th reunion committee, the San Francisco Game Changers campaign committee, and the Trustee Investment Committee Advisory Group. Kristi and her husband Tom live in Woodside, California, with their children.  Kristi is a member of the Investment Committee. 

Chad Morgan '96 
Chad is a Partner with Investure, LLC, where he helps oversee the firm's investment activities in private asset classes. Investure serves as the outsourced investment office for a select group of US-based endowments and foundations. Prior to Investure, Chad was a Director of Investments for the University System of Maryland Foundation and an Associate at Frontier Capital, a private equity firm in Charlotte, NC. He was also an investment banking Analyst and Associate at SG Cowen & Co. in San Francisco. Chad is a board member and past Chairman of the Music Resource Center in Charlottesville, VA. At ��������, Chad was a Center for Interdisciplinary Studies major, a member of the Honor Council, a Bonner Scholar, and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and he spent a semester studying church history at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He earned his MBA from Duke University. Chad served as a member of the Trustee Investment Committee Advisory Group from 2012-2015; he rejoined the Group in January 2017. Chad and his wife Rebecca live in Charlottesville with their two children. In 2016 they funded the expendable Chad and Rebecca Morgan �������� Trust Scholarship.  Chad chairs the Investment Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee. 

Cintra Pollack '99
Cintra is a manager at Race Street management, a family office/investment company. In addition to managing investments, she is the secretary/treasurer of the Singer Family Foundation and is responsible for both the grant making process and investing the corpus. She formerly served as Vice President at Aviva, Inc., a family-owned oil and gas exploration company. Before running Race Street Management and working at Aviva, Inc., she worked as an equity analyst at Granite Point Capital and at Amazon.com. She holds an MBA from the Foster School of Business, where she was a WRF/Gates Fellow and a Dempsey scholar. She currently volunteers on the executive board as the chair of planning and grant making for JewishColorado, a member of the Jewish Federations of North America. She is a Wexner Heritage alumna, a recipient of the JewishColorado Charlotte B. Tucker Young Leadership award in 2014, and the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society's Young Visions award recipient for 2017. She also is an advisory board member for 826 National, a national tutoring and writing non-profit. At ��������, Cintra majored in English with an Asian Studies concentration, graduating cum laude and with high departmental honors. She was president of the Union Board, a writer for the ��������ian, editor of Libertas magazine, and a member of the Council on Campus & Religious Life. She served on the Union design committee. She graduated with membership in Omicron Delta Kappa and Who's Who. She was the recipient of the Charles Lloyd writing award. She also was a Cornwell Scholar and a Watson Prize finalist. She studied in China and was a student participant in the Alumnae Coeducation Reunion in 1998. She lives in Denver, Colorado.  Cintra is a member of the Investment Committee, the College and Community Relations Committee and the Student Recruiting, Enrollment and Scholarships Committee.

Sallie Permar ‘97
A physician, Sallie specializes in the treatment and prevention of neonatal viral infections. She is chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and pediatrician-in-chief at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital in New York City. A biology major at ��������, she was a member of the track and cross country teams, the Honor Council, and Warner Hall eating house. She also served as a student solicitor and a Hall Counselor. She graduated with a Fulbright Fellowship and later earned her MD from Harvard University Medical School and her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Sallie has volunteered for �������� as a member of her 5th reunion committee and the �������� College Alumni Healthcare Professionals Group and as a job shadowing mentor. She received the Distinguished Alumna Award in 2016. Sallie and her husband and children live in New York City.

Pat Rodgers
Pat Rodgers is president and CEO of Rodgers, a Charlotte-based construction management company founded by her late husband, B.D. Rodgers, that is ranked among the top 100 construction management firms in the United States. Pat is the past chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, the Mint Museum of Art, the McColl Center for Art + Innovation, the Charlotte Merchants Foundation, Florence Crittenton, the Construction Industry Roundtable and the Foundation for the Mint Museums. She serves on the board of the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council. Pat has received honors including North Carolina's Order of the Longleaf Pine, Echo Foundation's Award Against Indifference, Urban League's Whitney M. Young Award and the Charlotte Business Journal's Business Person of the Year. B.D.'s granddaughter, Jennifer Neal Pressly '98, attended �������� and his great-grandson, Marshall Brady, is class of 2020. B.D. and Pat were instrumental in the development of ��������'s sculpture garden. Pat is a member of the Game Changers Campaign committee. She is a former member of the Board of Visitors and she was a member of ��������'s Board of Trustees from 2004-10, primarily serving on the Campus & Facilities Planning committee. She is also a member of the Public Affairs Committee.

Tim Saintsing ’98
Tim is the executive director of KIPP North Carolina, a network of charter schools rigorously preparing students from vulnerable and marginalized communities for college, career, and beyond. Previously he was the chief operating officer of the Relay Graduate School of Education and the founding co-director of operations for the Excellence Boys Charter School with Uncommon Schools in New York City. A political science major at ��������, Tim served as the president of the senior class, was active in the SGA, was a member of the Student Conduct Council and the Review Board, studied in Italy, and was a senior admission fellow. Following graduation, he worked as an admission counselor for ��������. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University. Tim has served �������� as a member of his 5th, 15th, and 25th reunion committees, co-chair of his 20th reunion committee, and member of the Board of Visitors, the �������� LGBTQ+ Alumni Network, and the Alumni Association Board. He was also a member of the Commission on Race and Slavery and is a Pahara-Aspen Institute education fellow. Tim and his husband, Jeff DeRoche, live in Hillsborough, NC. They have established a scholarship in support of the �������� Trust.

Andy Schwab '93
Andy is a founder and managing partner of 5AM Ventures, a life sciences venture capital firm. A Center for Special Studies major focused on genetics and ethics, Andy was a member of ��������'s legendary 1992 Final Four Men's Soccer team and Kappa Alpha fraternity. He and his wife, Catarina, live in San Francisco. Andy's sister, Katherine Schwab Frink '96, also attended ��������. Andy is a member of the Game Changers Campaign committee. He served on the San Francisco regional campaign committee during the Campaign for �������� and is a past member of the Alumni Association Board and the Board of Visitors. He is a member of the Investment Committee, the Audit and Finance Committee, and the Athletics Committee.

Kamran Shahbaz '19 
Kamran serves Deloitte Consulting’s financial services practice, assisting clients with strategic growth opportunities and global operational transformations. He is the Chief Strategy Officer of the Foundation for the Educational Development of Afghans (FEDA) and co-founder of Red X Coffee, a Denver-based coffee company that brings quality coffee to convenient locations, one truck at a time. He hopes that his business background will continue to fuel philanthropic causes dear to his heart. Kamran’s fondest memories at �������� included mentoring first-years as a Hall Counselor, contributing to The ��������ian as a political correspondent, serving as a tutor for ��������’s first blind economics major, and immersing himself in research on political Islam and econometrics. Perhaps his most influential �������� experience was a 5-month world tour of 11 countries throughout the Middle East and Asia that ��������’s spiritual exploration grant funded. A political science and economics double major, Kamran graduated summa cum laude. 

Steve Shames '96
Steve is President of Publicis New York, part of Publicis Groupe, the world's third largest advertising and communications holding company. At ��������, Steve majored in history and was a Ken Kelley Scholar. He was a member of the Jazz Ensemble and President of the Patterson Court Council. He received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He has served his alma mater as a member of his 20th reunion committee, career mentor, Annual Fund class agent, �������� Alumni Admissions Program volunteer and member of the Alumni Association Board. Steve, his wife Sara and their two children live in Manhattan. Steve is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and the Public Affairs Committee. 

David Sprinkle ’66 
David is the retired CEO of The Todd Organization, a national executive benefits planning company. An economics major, he was a 1st team all-conference member of the football team, a diver on the swim team, and a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He later earned an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill and a MSFS from The American College. David has served �������� as a member of the Board of Trustees (1992-1993, 1996-2015), Board of Visitors former chair and member of the Game Changers campaign committee, Richardson Expansion fundraising committee, �������� Trust Steering Committee, �������� Athletic Foundation board, Annual Fund Leadership Council, Presidential Search Committee (which recommended the hiring of Carol Quillen), Regional Campaign Chair and Major Gifts Committee member for the Campaign for ��������, the Let Learning Be Cherished Campaign cabinet, and multiple reunion committees. In addition to his service at ��������, David was also a member of The Board of Trustees of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro-UNCG (2011-2021) serving as board chair for two years. David was also a member of the Chancellor Search Committee for UNCG that recommended the hiring of its current chancellor, Frank Gilliam Ph.D. David is also a board member of the Edward M. Armfield Jr. Foundation.

David received a �������� Alumni Service Award, the James Hendrix Award and was inducted into the �������� College Athletics Hall of Fame. David and his wife, Pam, provided the naming gifts for the Sprinkle Room in the Alvarez College Union, the Sprinkle Family Scholarship and the Ellen and Phelps Sprinkle Soccer Scholarship. 

David and Pam live in Greensboro, North Carolina, and are the parents of Phelps Sprinkle ’93 (married to Kate Evans Sprinkle ’96) and Ellen Sprinkle Thomas ’95 CP (married to Josh Thomas ’94 CP). Ellen and Josh’s son, Foster Thomas ’25, is currently enrolled at ��������.

Jordan Starck ’12
Jordan is an IDEAL Provostial Fellow and incoming assistant professor for Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University, based in the Department of Psychology in the School of Humanities and Sciences. His research to date has focused on the reasons organizations embrace diversity, examining the psychological factors shaping people’s preferred approaches and the downstream consequences of different approaches. He also examines racial bias and its role in perpetuating racial disadvantage, particularly in the context of education and the justice system. Prior to his work at Stanford, he was founder of Charlotte-based Madison Multicultural Education Solutions, working to address educational inequities, and was a high school teacher. A psychology major and education minor at ��������, Jordan was a Belk Scholar, Chidsey Leadership Fellow, Student Government Association Vice President, and Trustee Committee student representative. He studied in Ghana and was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and the Free Word Poetry Group. He was a �������� Research Initiative Fellow and received the DBAN, HHMI Strategies and Edward Palmer Psychology awards and graduated with membership in Who’s Who. He completed his Ph.D. in Social Psychology and Social Policy at Princeton University in 2021. He has served �������� as a member of the John M. Belk Scholarship Advisory Board and DBAN. Jordan and his wife, Ashley Crawford Starck ‘11, live in Cupertino, CA.

Janet Stovall '85 
Janet is a Global Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at The NeuroLeadership Institute, a global research firm and cognitive science consultancy headquartered in NY, NY, where she helps senior leaders at some of the world’s leading corporations evolve diversity, equity and inclusion practices to be more brain-friendly and human. Prior to joining NLI, she was Senior Director, Social Impact and The UPS Foundation and primary speechwriter for UPS’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team. She is a TED speaker, member and faculty of the Professional Speechwriters Association, member of the Hoya Professional 30 Class of 2018, and former member of the advisory board of the Alliance Theatre. Janet majored in English at ��������. A Samuel Henry Bell and NCNB Scholar at ��������, she was president of the Black Student Coalition and primary author of Project ’87, a report highlighting desired changes to improve diversity and inclusion on campus. She holds a Master of Integrated Marketing Communications from Georgetown University, and graduate certificates in diversity and inclusion from Cornell and Yale. Janet has served �������� as a founding member, past president and member of the Leadership Committee of the �������� Black Alumni Network (DBAN), member of the Commission on Race and Slavery, chair of the Black Alumni Reunion, member of the Board of Visitors, member of her 15th, 20th and 25th reunion committees, chair of her 30th reunion, Summer Sendoff host, Women’s Leadership Conference speaker, and student mentor. Janet lives in Tucker, Georgia, and is the mother of two children, including Maia '20.

Olivia Ware ’78 
Olivia is a successful executive with more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development, commercialization and healthcare management. An early member of the team that built the oncology franchise at Genentech Inc., Olivia played a key role in the product launch of several of the world’s largest revenue producing oncology drugs, including Rituxan®, Herceptin® and Avastin®. Most recently, Olivia served as senior vice president, BTK Franchise at Principia Biopharma which was acquired by Sanofi in 2020. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Commercial Leader at Proteus Digital Health, Inc., a marketing and strategy consultant, and Chief Commercial Officer at CytRx Corporation. Olivia served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at Genentech in sales and marketing, managed care and global cross-functional team leadership. Olivia currently serves on the public boards of Revance Therapeutics, Inc. and Arcellx, Inc.  A National Achievement Scholar and a North Carolina Fellow, Olivia majored in psychology at �������� and served as a freshman hall counselor, vice president of the Union Board and a member of the Black Student Coalition, graduating with membership in Who’s Who Among American College and University Students. A Consortium Fellow, she received her MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Olivia has volunteered for �������� as a member of the Alumni Association Board, the Board of Visitors and the San Francisco regional committee for the Game Changers campaign. She serves on the Board of Trustees through her position as chair of the Board of Visitors.  She is Chair of the Campus Life and the Student Experience Committee and a member of the Campus Strategy, Planning, and Use Committee.  She lives in San Francisco.

Whitney A. White ‘08
Whitney is the co-founder and CEO of Equity Commons, a startup she co-founded with two fellow �������� alumni in 2018. Equity Commons uses immersive virtual reality training to help organizations reduce implicit bias. She is also co-founder and owner of Afara Global, an innovation firm launched in 2011 that helps startups, corporate innovation teams, and nonprofits create and scale new products and services. Whitney is also an executive coach through her Take Back Your Time coaching practice. She started the Hurt Hub's Tech Impact Fund in 2015. It provides paid experiential learning opportunities for students to intern with women-owned and underrepresented minority-owned businesses in critical areas related to tech at no cost to the business. Whitney was a Belk Scholar, senior class president, chair of the Diversity Coordinating Board, and member of the Student Conduct Council and the Alumni Leadership Program for Students. She majored in anthropology and graduated with membership in Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) and Who’s Who. She has served �������� as an Annual Fund class chair, an Alumni Association Board decade representative, a member of the Board of Visitors (2015-2020) and a reunion committee member. She was presented the Alumni Service Award in 2018. Whitney and her daughter live in Washington, DC.

Kirk Willingham ‘01
Kirk is managing director of financial reporting for Delta Air Lines. A history major at ��������, he served as president of the Union Board, a Resident Advisor, a member of the Honor Council, Leadership ��������, the Alvarez College Union Planning Committee, the Council on Campus and Religious Life, Social and Concert Committee Chair of the Union Board, and a DJ for WALT 1610AM. He studied abroad on the Cambridge program and graduated with membership in Who’s Who. He holds an MS in Accounting from Wake Forest University. Kirk has served �������� as a member of the Board of Visitors, Atlanta alumni chapter co-president, Fund for �������� class ambassador, and member of his 10th and 15th reunion committees. He and his wife, Reid Leavitt Willingham ‘00, live in Decatur, Georgia, with their children.

Lillian "Beadsie" Woo '86
Beadsie is a director with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, a private philanthropy based in Baltimore whose mission is to develop a brighter future for children, families and communities in the United States. She is also involved as a member and former board chair of the Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy organization. An economics major at ��������, she has a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard's Kennedy School and a Ph.D. in economics from UNC-Chapel Hill. As a �������� student, Beadsie served as the first woman president of the Student Government Association. A Luce Scholar and North Carolina Fellow, she was a member of Who's Who, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership and service fraternity, and Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society. She has served �������� as a �������� Alumni Admission Program representative, an Alumni Association Board decade representative, tri-chair of Alumni of Color Engagement, an Annual Fund class agent, member of her 20th reunion committee and the Alumnae Coeducation reunion committee, and member of the Board of Visitors. She and her husband, Dave Buchholz, live in Silver Spring, MD. Beadsie was elected to the Board of Trustees by the Alumni Association.  She is a member of the Campus Strategy, Planning and Use Committee, Public Affairs Committee and the Student Recruiting, Enrollment, and Scholarships Committee.
