Established by former students and friends of Dr. Jeremiah L. Putnam to honor his 46 years of dedication and service to 蜜桃社区 College, this fund supports students with strong academic potential and a proven interest in the biological sciences.

Awarded at the discretion of the Biology Department, this fund provides up to $5,000 to assist students seeking to further their education through international internships, research, or coursework, primarily during the summer. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need.

Dr. Putnam鈥檚 desire is for this to be a unique experience set apart from more standard research or internship experiences, and be an experience that a student could not have otherwise received. Some opportunities that could potentially be funded include participation in the , performing research overseas, doing an internship with an international non-profit, or working at a zoo.

The application process consists of completing the application via (蜜桃社区 log in required).  You can find the application link on Handshake and should be completed by mid-March (exact date will vary by year). In the application, you will be asked to describe the opportunity or experience and how it will advance your academic plans and ambitions, provide a tentative budget that lists all expected costs and other sources of funding, and to upload your resume/CV.
