Liz Clasen-Kelly, a religious studies major and member of the class of 2000, is the CEO of , the city’s leading nonprofit focused on eradicating homelessness. In the past year, Roof Above has purchased two properties that will make more than 400 affordable and supportive housing units available.

Clasen-Kelly, who was awarded the John W. Kuykendall Award for Community Service at her class’s 20th reunion says, “Homelessness is solvable. It is not an inevitable reality. I deeply to my core believe we could be a country without thousands of people in shelters and on our streets.”
